GREETINGS FROM CANADA: By friend and Italian correspondent Andrea Barbaraci
Maple leafs, hockey...and horror movies! Welcome to Canada. "Resident Evil", the "Dawn Of The Dead" remake, George Romero's "Land Of The Dead": these are just a few scary examples among tons of ghastly titles that were recently shot in the country which gave birth to horror maestro David Cronemberg. Could our princess of darkness miss the opportunity to participate in this dance of the dead with serial killers, maniacs, and zombies? Of course not...Suzi just returned from Montreal a few days ago where she worked on a sci-fi feature film called "RECON 2022: The Mezzo Conspiracy" with Movie Seals Productions (www.recon2020-movie.com). The movie is a sequel to Christian Viel's "RECON 2020", which won numerous awards including "Best Sci-Fi/Action Movie" at the London Sci-Fi Film Festival in 2005. Suzi played a doctor/scientist - Dr. Beverly Jones - who performs a surgical procedure on one of the sergeants, who is also her long time friend. She's worried about him, and tries to understand what is going thru. She fears he might be suffering the side effects of Ma'har Astral Plane Psionic Infection, a mind altering malady affecting an increasing number of battlefront soldiers. Suzi worked with Andy Bradshaw (Sargent Sharp), a veteran actor who has appeared in films from "Taking Lives" to "Warriors" to "Gothika". Suzi has welcomed the opportunity to join "RECON 2022" cast and crew again to establish Dr. Jones character in the next RECON film.
AND TALKING ABOUT SEQUELS...Always devoted to the chainsaw, Suzi will return facing our favourite woodsmen's tool in Jimmy O Burril's "Chainsaw Sally 2". Due to a change in the script, the blonde demon will no longer plays Miss Busy Bee: instead Suzi will play Alice Graves, who has a more prominent role in the movie! Scheduled are scenes with Gunnar Hansen and Ed Neal (ah brothers...)! More news about "Chainsaw Sally 2" in the near future. So stay tuned...and take care!
February 23, 2006
Suzi has been invited to the 'It Came From Lake Michigan' independent film festival (www.itcamefromlakemichigan.com) as a feature guest on October 20th and 21st. The festival will be held in Racine, Wisconsin.

A BLADE IN THE DARK
Night is falling. A blade shines in the dark. The blade is trembling. You hear a creepy rusty noise; as the smell of fuel covers everything, but not your fear. A man is coming to catch you: his mask is an horrible patchwork quilt made with skin from his victim's faces... Yes, ever since Tobe Hooper's "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" was shot during a hot Texas summer, chainsaws are not only wood-cutting tools, but have become one of the most lethal and bloody weapons in horror flicks. And an icon for horror genre fans all around the world was born. The crazy man who used the chainsaw to terrify and massacre teenagers began his reign of terror. Before Michael Myers, Jason Voorhees and Freddy Kreuger, Leatherface was the first boogeyman to became a star. Behind the mask, as you know, there was a 26 year old young immigrant from Iceland, Gunnar Hansen. But Gunnar Hansen is not only an horror icon: he's also a non-fiction book writer - note his critically acclaimed "Islands at the Edge of Time" (Shearwater Books, 1996), about America's barrier islands - and, most of all a truly down to earth guy that Suzi had the opportunity to interview recently. The interview will appear in the next Horror Mania issue (Horror Mania is this wonderful genre magazine based in Italy where - since September 2005 - Suzi has a monthly column to share with her Italian fans her genuine passion for horror classics mixed with some news about the darkest corner of indie horror productions). Gunnar Hansen shared with Suzi his fond memories about being part of a movie that became a legend and - talking with a Scream Queen like Suzi - about working with one of the greatest Scream Queens in movie history: Marilyn "Sally" Burns. He also shares what was his scariest moment on a movie set (yes, even horror icons can be scared), and he allows us to take one step is his ghastly mansion to describe the most unusual gifts he have received from a fan (some advice for all Gunnar Hensen fan - especially the Italian ones - to make a good first impression on the one and only Leatherface: he just wishes someone would give him a car, especially any one of a number of Italian exotics...) But Leatherface could't think only about the people he massacred in the past: there are still so many people to cut into little bits! So Gunnar Hansen talked to Suzi about some of his movie projects as well as dreams about a nordic icelander saga he would like to write and direct someday. And how could he not mention his participation in "Chainsaw Sally", the horror indie movie directed by Jimmy O Burril. At the age of ten, Sally and her younger brother Ruby witness the brutal murder of their parents. Alone in the world, Sally raises Ruby, haunted by the memories of her murdered parents, and an ever growing lust for revenge. Now, a young woman inspired by horror movies and comic books, Sally lives the life of a small town librarian by day...and something completely different by night. When the sun goes down in Pottersville, the hunt begins, with Chainsaw Sally acting as judge, jury, and bloody executioner, of all who are evil in her eyes. Now "Chainsaw Sally" has a distributor (Pop Cinema) and the movie will hit the streets soon in 2006!
Visit the site www.chainsawsally.org for an exact street date for a indie movie, it hosts an unbelievable cast of horror icons including Gunnar Hansen and Herschell Gordon Lewis. Gunnar played "Daddy" to the lovely Chainsaw Sally. Suzi was involved as well, playing the character of Miss Busybee, a pesky and persistent news reporter who ends up getting more than she bargained for.
No more sneak previews! As an announcer from the Circus I might say: "Ladies and Gentlemen, please come inside the tent to see with your eyes the wonderful world of Mr. Gunnar "Leatherface" Hansen, a.k.a "the man with the chainsaw" . . . a gory spectacle not recommended for faint hearted people presented by our ring leader and the "girl comes from outer space", the one and only, bla bla bla (remember I'm playing the role of the Circus barker) Suzi Lorraine!
Ok, I know that Horror Mania Magazine is an Italian magazine and that many of you can't read italian (as well as you might understand it at this point, I couldn't write in english!), but lucky you: I'm such a kind hearted barker from the Circus so I will ask Suzi to post the English translation of the Gunnar interview on her website. On the web site. So stay tuned. . . and get ready for a noisy chainsaw headed straight for you"!
GOD SAVE THE QUEEN: SUZI IS COMING TO GET YOU!
Dracula and Frankenstein, Mr Hyde and Jack the Ripper. They all came from a creepy island on the Atlantic Ocean, where fog works to hide ghoul mysteries: the Great Britain (ok, Brahm Stoker was born in Dublin, but when "Dracula" was written - at the end of XIX Century - the country nowadays knows as EIRE was still part of the UK).
In this haunted island lives some odd folks who recently decided - in the darkest corner of their underground laboratory - to keep this horror tradition alive realizing a bright new publication: "Gorezone Magazine"
Suzi has a new monthly column in "Gorezone Magazine": ""Diary of a Scream Queen". For our favourite Scream Queen another opportunity to talk about her - and our - favourite subjects . . and yet another opportunity to expand her ghoul presence across Europe.
So began to trembling the old continent. Italy is already conquered, UK is as well.... Who's next? Who could stop the increasing reign of Suzi in Europe?
"Gorezone Magazine" is a new horror publication based in the UK, launched on September 2005. The magazine is available on newsstands in the UK, but - for all you US horror maniacs - you can purchase a subscription it across the ocean. To learn more about it, please visit www.gorezone.co.uk.

I've been really busy this summer and early part of the fall so far... My movie "Cold Blonded Murder" with SVBI Films, in which I play a night prowling serial killer, was released several months ago. It premiered at the Fantasia Film Festival in Montreal this summer. I'm in production now on a feature length film with SVBI Films, directed by Sylvain Bell, called "The Night They Returned". It's a great little "slasher/dark comedy" movie, in which I play a killer yet again... although this time my character is a cannibal too. Check out stills from the shoot at www.svbell.com and also right here on my site. I'll be heading back to Montreal next month, to finish filming a few scenes and also to do a cameo in a music video for the band Kataklysm, who are recording the title track for the movie.
I had a great time shooting a part in an extreme sports video down in Ocean City NJ with RDDP Productions in September. Basically, on the video, amongst all the pros doing all kinds of killer tricks on skimboards and on mountain bikes, there will be me. Mind you, I've never skimboarded before, so the going is a little rocky to say the least. The film company basically wanted to teach a beginner how to skimboard, and then document the whole experience. It was fun! And the video is going to be really cool for all you extreme sports enthusiasts - look for it in sometime in early 2004.
I began production on a political satire film called "Campaign" with JD Casey Productions during the Horrorfind convention weekend in Maryland the end of August. www.jdcasey.com The initial scenes went great, and I had the privilege of working with the very talented Brinke Stevens. She is not only a very talented actress, but also really nice! I had fun, and the convention was great too because I had the opportunity to meet my idol, Alice Cooper!!!! Check out the pics with Alice on my site. It was the best. He is a living legend - a true musical genius. Amazing performer and song writer.
I just shot a print ad in NYC for Floodline clubwear last week. It went great. The pics will be in the upcoming Floodline clubwear catalog, and also online at www.floodline.com These clothes are super cool, and fortunately I was able to take some of them home with me after the shoot. Thanks Ute!! I hope to be working with this company again on future shoots.
I also recently modeled for the CD cover for a NJ based rock band called Splooge. Patrick Connor was the photographer, and did an amazing job. The band plays shows in the NY/NJ area - check them out if you get a chance. Check out the tear sheet on my portfolio page. It was a retro theme shoot, complete with '60s era clothes, sunglasses, background colors, etc.
I'm also currently working on "Dead Things Ain't Toys" with Amplo Films in NYC. I play an angel/demon, who appears as an apparition of sorts to the main character, who suffers from all kinds of dillusions, hallucinations and schizophrenia, due in part to a childhood filled with abuse and torment. We plan to wrap production by the end of this year.
I shot a movie box cover for Media Blasters called "Sappho '68". Their website is www.media-blasters.com I'm not actually in the movie (it's a re-release of a Swiss film from the late '60s), but I'm thrilled to be on the cover. You can check it out on my portfolio page.
Please feel free to send me an email if you have any questions or comments about my website! Thanks!
Suzi

Hi everyone! Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by my website! I've been working on so many projects over the last few months. I finished filming "Love" with Spoon Theory Films in NJ last month - it was an awesome experience - I really learned a lot and had a great time shooting it. I'm so proud of this project. It should be finished in the next few weeks or so. I will keep you posted! This production company will also begin working on a couple new films this summer. You can check them out at www.spoontheoryfilms.com Their site should be up real soon!
I'm also in production right now on a movie called "Countdown to Extinction" with Dyers Eve Films in Philadelphia. This has been an awesome experience too - everyone involved with this project is really talented, focused and hard working. We all have put so much time and effort, and heart and soul into this. We watched the trailer last week and it gave me chills. As director Mark Goles said, "this is what makes it ALL worth it..." I play the lead - Denise Samone - my character is the daughter of this deranged satanic family who kills a bunch of people in a small town. I ultimately team up with a bounty hunter who is my only hope of not only saving my own life, but preventing a world wide holy war. It's scheduled to premier at theaters on (tentatively) March 31st in NY, Philly, Chicago, LA, and Denver. If all goes well, it looks like it will be in video stores in October! Here's the official synopsis from the Dyers Eve website: Caught in a web of murder and satanism, Denise Samone must keep as far away from her satanic family as long as possible before they sacrifice her to ther dark lord and release evil onto the planet causing the human race to turn against each other in the biggest holy war ever. Denise runs into Jack - a bounty hunter sent to capture her for a large reward. When his feelings towards her develop and past spirits come to haunt him, he finds himself caught between good and evil. Here's the website: http://www.dyersevefilms.cjb.net/
begin work on a film in April or May called "Wynter Storm" with NYX Films in Texas. It is an action film with a killer plot - really well written. It will be directed by Robert Baker. I play the lead - a crazy, mentally unwound hit woman. Most of the filming will take place in Texas and Oklahoma. I am psyched to take on this challenging and bizarre role. You can check out the production company's site at : www.nyxcomics.com
"B Movie: Farmhouse Massacre" will premier at the Tampa Bay Film Festival on April 25th!! The cast and crew (Other Side Cinema - formerly Blood Cinema) will be in attendance. Looks like I may be heading down to Tampa for the ocassion. Here's the link to Other Side Cinema: www.othersidecinema.com I look forward to working with these guys again on future projects - they are definitely going places!
I shot a calendar last week for No Holds Barred Wrestling, in affiliation with 101.5 FM radio station in NY. I did an interview with them as well - it was really cool. The calendar should be out within a month, and I'll be selling it on my site too. Their website is www.noholdsbarredwrestling.com Check it out!
I did a voice-over on a sci- fi film called "We're Coming to Help", which is directed by Joe Casey (JD Casey Productions), and stars Debbie Rochon and Brinke Stevens. He's an up and coming director, with an incredibly comprehensive knowledge of the entire b-horror movie industry. Thank you Joe for all of your help as my mentor, and for being such a great friend! His next project will be "Campaign", a political satire that takes place during a "day from hell" in a campaign headquarters. Check out the site at www.jdcasey.com
Thanks again for stopping by - feel free to drop me a line if you have any questions or comments!! Suzi

I am really excited about my brand new official website!
August 30, 2002
Hello everyone and welcome to my new website! First and foremost, I would like to thank my web designer - Jeremy of Izzy Designs - for the amazing job he has done on my site! You can check out more of his work at the upcoming www.izzydesigns.com (I am the spokesodel for his site - you can also see me there )
I have been really busy the past couple months - I recently shot a bikini/fashion calendar for www.wallstreet.com The pictures should be on their site (and mine) soon. I also posed for www.liextreme.com - a cool car racing website in Long Island. It was a lot of fun.
I have a fashion show coming up in Princeton at the end of this month that I'm really excited about. It's called NBE 2002 Fashion Show. A lot of cool designers will be there- Angel Claudio, Eastwick Jeans, Donna Byrd, etc. I will post pictures from the show on my website!
I had a photo shoot with Troma Entertainment last month. I did a promo for their website that will appear on their future DVDs. Check out some of the pictures of Cathy and me in the "Troma" section on my website. It was so funny.
I'm working on a romantic comedy/thriller called "Love" with a film company called Spoon Theory Films. They are an up and coming group of really talented people with some cool and unique ideas. My character's name is Julia, and I love the role because I really get to run the gamut of emotions with this one - she's happy, she's sad, she's over the top belligerent and aggressive, she's insecure, she's confident... definitely a challenging role.
I did a cameo with my friend Isabelle Stephen in a movie with a Canadian film company called Blood Shark Cinema. It's called "Ronnie", and I play a police officer who gets to beat up and arrest a crazy rock star I find in the woods.
I finished filming "B-Movie: The Shooting of Farmhouse Massacre" this summer. I worked with Blood Cinema - an awesome production company in Tampa. It's a dark comedy/horror parody film. I had so much fun on the set - we had to keep re-shooting a bunch of scenes because we couldn't stop laughing! Check out a few pictures in the "B-Movie" section on my site.
